Category Archives: personalLake Gaston and Raleigh NC Joe and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary last week! It’s hard to believe that we’ve been married for that long, time is truly flying! We celebrated by getting away for a few days and going to my favorite place (in the United States at least), Lake Gaston in North Carolina. My sweet in-laws were… in the springtime It’s the 5th day of spring and we currently have 5 inches of snow on the ground. While normally I would gripe and complain, today I’m enjoying an unexpected slow, snow day and the blessings that accompany it. Piper the bunny! So funny that you get all these action shots and as soon as the hood goes on she? goes still for posing time.  This past weekend we had a memorial service celebrating my grandmothers 92 year life on this earth. She passed away a little over a week ago in my parents home, my mom and I were with her as she passed. One of our prayers was that she would pass peacefully and God so faithfully answered… + 5 comments

Courtney, that post is BEAUTIFUL! What a lovely lady “Nana” must have been…I am sure she is just as charming now in her new home…Heaven….. I have very fond memories of both of my “mom-moms’” and I hope to get those memories put into words and shared on paper so that my grandbabies one day will know all about me and my mom-moms’ lives. What a blessing you have been given …..my sympathies to you and your family.

Sounds like Nana was amazing! What a heritage she has left. A big hug to you, dear! unconditional love In the 3 years that we’ve own Piper, we have learned a lot from her. During the first few days after we brought her home, we learned that a puppy is much like a newborn.
