Life goes through different seasons. A few years ago a lot of my friends were getting engaged and married and then there was a lull for a year or two. And then it was the season of babies. And then it leveled out. Well now a lot of people from my church are back into the baby season. I’m pretty sure there were at least 10 babies added to the church over the last year. People joked, don’t drink from the water fountain. A lot of people didn’t listen. P.s. I bring bottled water to church
It’s been fun to see some of our close friends transition into a family a of 3. In fact three of my closest friends just had babies in the past 12 months. You may remember Angie and Ike, I think they win the MVP award for appearing on my blog the most, besides Piper. Well Angie and Ike had a beautiful little girl last May and it’s really hard to believe Jillian is already one! The neat thing about having your close friends go through something extraordinary like having a baby is that you get to see firsthand the effect it has on them. It’s a really monumental effect too. Ike and Angie are fantastic parents, they often tell us that they couldn’t imagine life without Jilli. Even though Angie didn’t have the easiest recovery, she told me just a few weeks after having the baby that she’d do it all over again in a heartbeat. I remember having goosebumps and tears in my eyes when she told me that, Ike and Angie were forever changed.
I met up with this sweet family of 3 at their house for some family portraits. Here are a few of my favorites!
This was the first picture I took, I knew I was in for a good time with Miss Jilli Bean![]()
This pocket sized Declaration of Independence is Jillian’s favorite toy, cracks me up!
love!
I promised Angie we would get some pictures with her and Jillian because she told me she is always taking pictures of Ike with the baby and it looks like he’s a single dad![]()
Look at this fabulously over-the-top tu-tu!![]()
