To His Glory

The past 2 weeks I have been a crazy person. I have tons of blog posts to work on, engagement sessions, weddings, my trip to Vegas for Skips Summer School, but today I wanted to share about my time at camp. Camp Tohiglo (meaning To His Glory) was the highlight of my summer when I was little. The church I grew up in was responsible for Teen Week, so my pastor was the dean and a ton of people from church were on staff.  My mom was the head cook, so before I was old enough to be a camper I was a staff kid. As soon as I hit 13 I was a camper and every year till I was 18 I was a camper. Then I graduated to half/staff (still a camper but partly a counselor) and then the big day hit when I was a counselor! So needless to say, I’ve been at camp for awhile. I love camp. This year was my first year back on staff in two years, so it was great to be apart of such a great week.

I was a counselor along with my friend Naomi (I blogged about her here) we had the 14-15 year old girls. We weren’t sure what our girls would be like, we both have had some interesting cabins in the past but this year our cabin was amazing! I am humbled by what God taught me during that week and hearing what each of my girls learned brought tears to my eyes. It’s awesome to see how God works in each of our hearts individually when we seek Him.

Here are a few pictures from the week!

Ok, first let me say I do NOT like to match, so Naomi thinks its quite funny that we are both wearing pretty much the same thing. I got over it (sorta). We are pumped about camp, can’t you tell?

We are pretty excited here too….

Cabin 6 boys clearly enjoying shoulder rubs as they are waiting for dinner.

Our cabin! Aw, I miss my girls…
Someone, and we still don’t know who, felt the need to use yards and yards of saran wrap.
It’s a right of passage for every camper to play the pudding game, I still shudder when I think about times I’ve played that game.
I use to babysit Zack! This boy is amazing, he is such a leader and I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for him.
To His Glory.

I miss camp too! We sure did have a lovely cabin! And matching was fun. Ok, mostly because you hated it. Haha. I must say, I’m with you on shuddering to think about trying to gag pudding down as a camper. I was thankful I could just cheer my team on, as opposed to actually eating that stuff.
